Oral
Skills and Technology
A forum for discussion of technologies used to teach
speech, pronunciation, and listening
Are you using technology to teach oral skills already? Are you
considering adopting new technologies? Do you wonder what’s out there?
This EVO session will provide a forum for discussion of technologies
used to teach Speech, Pronunciation and Listening. What old and new
technologies are out there? What are people doing with them?
Guest speakers with expertise in various technologies will
explain what the possibilities are: what they do, how it works, and
what it takes.
Participants will discuss their experience using old and new
technologies. What works well? What problems and solutions exist? How
do students react? How can technology be integrated? Why are some
people early adopters while others resist? What impact does unequal
distribution of resources have?
Target
Audience
ESL/EFL teachers who use technology in
teaching oral skills, or who are considering doing so.
