The prerequisite exam will be administered in class on the Friday of the first week (01/26/2024). You can access the exam through the link provided below. The exact same exam as the one linked below will be given to you in class. A perfect score on the prerequisite exam is required to pass the class. I recommend practicing to ensure your readiness for the exam. You will have a 30-minute timeframe to complete the exam in class.
You may find the CALC1_REVIEW and CALC2_REVIEW files posted on the course homework page helpful in preparation for the prerequisite exam.
The lectures are typically given via tablet with some information posted to the course webpage before each lecture. Below, you will find the 'before' notes for each lecture (as they are produced). The 'after' notes will hopefully be posted to the course Canvas page as they are produced. The files are password protected. The password can be found in item 6. of the email that was sent to students on Monday, 01/15/2024. If you do not have the password, please send me an email.
Jessica Liu, one of your classmates, has generously permitted me to share her notes on our MATLAB discussions about series solutions on the course website. These notes are intended to serve as a valuable guide to what was covered in class.
Almost every pen-and-paper homework assignment includes some questions marked in bold. You will get extra credit if you come to any of my office hours and explain your solutions to those questions. For each successful presentation you will earn 1/2 point extra credit which will be added directly to your final grade.
