The Problem: Food waste is a
global issue affecting our society. There are millions of people in less
fortunate countries who struggle to get food while more fortunate country’s
waste enough food to feed the developing countries. Developing some small but
effective solutions can have an impact on families lives and the environment
in our local area and the world. S.M.A.R.T Objective: To
increase the awareness in the Sacramento region on food waste from 10% to 20%

Waste: The amount being wasted by industrial
countries is up to 220 million tons. Which is close to the entire Sub Saharan
