Progress Journal

Oct-17: Conceptual Design; Ashlei came up with the idea to create a breeding website for dogs. She has had issues with security on other sites when breeding her dogs which is why she came up with the idea. The idea was great and unique so we all agreed upon it.

Oct-20:Research of Good and Bad websites; We all researched through class text and websites what makes a good or bad website. Collectively we identified what is good and bad and wrote the paper.

Oct-28:Began making our website. Designed the home page and created links, but did not fulfill the links. This day was most important and difficult because we experienced what it takes to make a website. The other days we know will not be as hard because we get the general jest of things.

Nov-6: We fulfilled the links such as service list, contact us, and ect. We did the entire context today, but did not upload pictures. This day was long being that we did each and every link.

Nov-14:We chose pictures and background colors to give our website some flavor. Ashlei, luckily had many dog pictures of her own for us to use to give the website a more authentic look.

Nov-18:Today we tested our site. To our disappointment there were some kinks and errors to be corrected. Today was a tiresome day and all we did was work out issues and problems with the site

Nov-20:Smooth sailing finally came today. We added finally touches to our personal pages and fabricated some of our lives. Last, we added this journal entry.

Ashlei: The best thing about doing this project is it was something I love. DOGS! I have two Chows in real life and I love them with all my heart, not to mention they are champions. This site is something I would really do in the future to ensure better experiences with breeding. I loved the project almost in its entirety. I didn’t care too much for problem shooting when it came to links and other maintenance issues. But at least I know the basics now.
