What Gays Say

about

A Ghost in Silence

I am launching an experiment via the internet where I am hoping to receive reviews from readers on my book A Ghost in Silence. I intend to put those reviews on these webpages, but right now I am just at the beginning of the experiment and so far have received only a few reviews. Check back later. Or write a review of your own, if you care to. I'll publish whatever you email to me, but no obscenities, of course.

The book is really wild. The details of the family life are so right on and the illustrations are perfect. You just need some really out there publisher for it. Somebody who can understand there would be a huge market for it if targeted to the right crowd.

I read "A Ghost in Silence" this morning, and I liked it, the illustrations as well as the text. The drawing on the "rattum" page was particularly delightful.

The only thing that felt a little awkward to me was the moment on pp. 59-60 when Chazz says "And Kenny's my partner. You understand that?" and Dillon's thought is "I don't think I really get it. I don't think I really want to." But then Dillon doesn't seem to have any trouble internalizing the concept. (Of course, I have no clue as to how this scene might have been handled better.) I thought everything else worked well.

I thought "lipsies" was a small stroke of genius, by the way.
