The dream of a rookie playwright—no matter at what age—to see his signature sent to thousands of subscribers along with signatures of classic masters Shakespeare, Ibsen and Shaw as well as modern playwrights Frederick Knott, Terence Rattigan and Lanford Wilson. The Dolly was the last of the seven subscription productions in the American Conservatory Theatre’s 1983-84 season.
