My name is Chris, and I am one of those individuals who decided to be a double major in Accounting and Psychology. My educational and work-related aspirations aside though, I lead an exciting, highly active life. When I'm not devoting time to school or work I'm usually involved in some hobby time. I do a great deal of writing (poetry, music, essays, short-stories, and even have a novel in progress), have a love for photography, and have been a heavily involved martial artist for over a year.

I am privileged to study under the same sensei both at a junior college, as well as his dojo in Elk Grove. I am currently ranked sankyu (purple belt) in the Shorinji Ryu style of karate. I have successfuly competed not only in two private competitions through the junior college I attend, but also in a larger scale west coast tournament in South San Francisco, where I was awarded 3rd place for open hand kata. I had the honor of training at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada for a martial arts seminar summer camp. Throughout my training, I have not only studied karate, but jujitsu and traditional Okinawan kobudo (weapons training) as well. When I was younger, I studied Kung Fu for six years and attained the rank of 3rd degree brown belt. In another three to three and a half years I will earn the rank of Shodan, or black belt.

I enjoy life and everything it has to offer. I cannot stand wasting time. I am always doing something. Everything thring from reading a challenging piece of literature, writing an epic poem, trying out new recipies in the kitchen, jetting across the country for another tournament, or even kayaking across a lake or down a river. Time is my most precious gift and I use it in abundance!
