NISMO Coming to the U.S? 3/29/07
For the first time ever in the Nissan Z’s 37-year history, a high-performance NISMO 350Z is part of the extensive Z lineup. The new 2007 Nissan NISMO 350Z, which makes its North American debut at the 2007 New York International Auto Show, features an extensively developed list of unique equipment – including a special body package and improved handling equipment. This new model, the fifth in the 2007 350Z Coupe lineup, is available witha 6-speed manual transmission only. It goes on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in July 2007.
Porsche to buy VW for 11 billion dollars! 3/27/07
Porsche will today launch a takeover offer for Volkswagen, but does not expect to acquire a majority stake of the company. The luxury German Marque anocuned over the weekend that it planned to raise its 23.7 per cent stake clam in VW to 31 percent. Under German law, this should trigger an obligatory offer to buy out all other shareholders. However Porsche has sidestepped this issue by a deliberately low price for shares, which means very few share holders will take up the offer. Many analyst believe that Porsche is increase its interest to prevent VW from falling into non-German hands.
