Every year college students pay billions of dollars to college campuses for remedial math classes. This website was created to help give you the resources to make sure your not one of them.

The intermediate algebra diagnostic exam is a required test college campuses administer to students in math to determine if the student is ready for college level courses. If you don’t pass this exam you will be forced to take remedial classes that offer no college credit.
This webpage will provide you with a substantial amount of information we believe will prepare you for future success with the IAD.
We recommend high school students take a fourth year of math. Currently the admissions requirement for freshman applicants only requires you to have taken three years of math. Many students will meet these requirements by the end of their junior year and take a year off from math before entering college. This long of a break tends to hurt students when they have to take the IAD exam in college. A fourth year of math will help students stay on top of their math skills and only help them in the long run.

We recommend students buy a practice test for the IAD. Most of these practice test booklets can be bought at the campuses bookstore. This booklet works as a study guide for the exam. It will give you an example of what questions you will see on the IAD. Also available in the bookstores will be an answer guide which will give you the answers to the practice test and in some cases show you how they got the answer.

We recommend you contact the campus you will be taking the IAD exam at to see about study sessions. Most campuses have study sessions ran by math professors that will go over any questions you may have about the exam. At this study session they will go over all the questions in the practice booklet. With all these resources available to you, we believe you are prepared to succeed.
I hope these recommendations will help you successfully pass the IAD.
