Autobiography

~~~~I am from a family of seven children and am the second youngest child. Fortunately, I am the youngest daughter, for I am not as spoiled as people think I should be. I was born into a family with a really small fortune or probably rarely any fortune at all. My parents came from Laos and Thailand with very little knowledge of the American world. My father is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He fought for his freedom, peace, and family while my mother was at home taking care of the kids (my siblings, of course) and running away from villages to villages to survive the war. As my parents and the family immigrated to the United States sometimes in October 1988, a whole new life have began and they have to leave the past behind. And just two short months after, I (Ger) was born. I was so close to not being an American citizen. Therefore, I thank my parents and family for arriving to America on time.

~~~~I was born on December 12, 1988 on a cold and busy afternoon when kids were just dismissed from school. When I was born, my parents knew that I will be the beginning of a better life for them. All they had to do was raise me and watch me grow into the person who they have chosen for me to become. ....
