FORMAT FOR CASE
STUDY
I. State your diagnosis of the primary problems (i.e., root causes) and secondary problems (i.e., symptoms) in the case. Be thorough in stating each problem.
II. Answer the case study questions provided by the instructor. Your answers should be thorough, complete, and focus sharply on the questions.
III. State the key lessons or ideas you take away from your study of the case. State each lesson thoroughly.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
Draw
information from the text chapters and journal articles (minimum of five
journal articles from the following journals:
Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Business
Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and American
Journal of Small Business) to support your answers to the case
questions. Cite these sources in the
body of the report where appropriate and list them in the bibliography at the
end of the report.
Provide
well-reasoned arguments, numerical evidence, financial data, and robust
analysis where possible.
Substitute
phrases such as "we think," "we believe," and "we
feel" with "our analysis shows."
The
report should be well organized, written in business writing style, and adhered
to top management level standards and expectations.
