| Laurie Kubicek joined the Division of Criminal Justice at California State University, Sacramento as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2002. Professor Kubicek earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at California State University, Stanislaus in 1994 and her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1997. While at McGeorge, she completed a Certificate in Governmental Affairs, and was admitted as a member of the State Bar of California in December 1997. Professor Kubicek serves the students in the Division of Criminal Justice as an academic advisor specializing in pre-law advising. She is also the Law School Admission Council's sole coordinating pre-law advisor for Sacramento State University. She also serves as a co-advisor to the CSUS chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and the faculty advisor to the CSUS chapter of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. Her areas of research interest include juvenile law and policy, criminal law and criminal procedure. |
