Recording Lectures and Demonstrations for the Web - for Macs

A website can make a good class great by hosting information that students can access anywhere at anytime. However a website can be difficult to maintain, and creating content for a website can be time consuming and technically challenging. This session will show you what tools I use for my class to put my lectures with slides, computer demonstrations onto the web.

Here are the tools that I use in my class:

Hardware
MacBook Pro. Mac OS X 10.5, Built-in Microphone, Wireless, Standard VGA adapter for overhead projector
Kensington wireless presentation remote. Allows control of presentation software using a USB dongle. Also has built-in laser pointer. Available at Circuit City Online
Logitech optical wheel mouse. Handy for computer work on a laptop. The trackpad does not give enough precision for some demonstrations. Circuit City Online
