Long-Term Occupational Goals as a Calling

I feel that teaching photography is, in the old-fashioned sense, my calling. To teach photography has long been my goal. In fact I have taught numerous workshops and classes during the last 20 years. And, on the strength of the results of those workshops, I have been offered several college and university teaching positions. Unfortunately, I have never managed to get a college degree (tho' I have 246 units on my record).

So... I am back in college  working on my Masters degree.

It is my hope that when I have completed my formal studies, at least one of the positions I was previously offered will still be available.

In the mean time, I continue to teach photography under the auspices of other organizations and continue my informal photographic education by attending an occassional workshop.

Occassionally, I teach a View Camera Operations Workshop. In 2000 it will very likely be done as a fund raisers for The Sacramento Valley Photographic Art Center.

On a more irregular basis I lead photographic workshops to Scotland & teach basic and intermediate black & white printing.
