Welcome to the Personal Web Page of Nicholas Gaines

WHO IS NICK GAINES? WELL, LET ME GIVE YOU A LITTLE BACKGROUND:

I was born and raised in Stockton,California. I have been going to school since I was three years old. I even had to take pre-school over again. My parents wanted me to be older than the other kids. At the time my thoughts were "cool, I get to go to they dairy farm and pumpkin patch again!" I went to elementry school at Mable Barron Elementry from kindergarden all the way until the 8th grade. After that I went on to attend St. Mary's highschool which consititued the best four years of my life thus far. I loved high school, and all the people I was able to experience it with. However, don't be alarmed, but I didn't do any sports in high school aside from PE. I really got intersted into studnet government and that is where my main focus was and I loved every minute. Now, I am in college and attending California State University Sacramento, and majoring in Crimnal Justice. I plan to graduate in spring 2007 with a four year degree, where I will then enter the masters program and get the good old masters degree. Following which I will apply for a Special Agent position with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firarms, and Explosives (ATF), which is the agency I have been working with over the past two years.

I happen to come from a very large and very greek and Irish family. We tend to be very loud (which I love) and we are really big on the practical jokes, and joke telling. I have one older sister who is very close to me just like the rest of my family. My family represents the good old fashioned values that, unfortunatly, are becoming less and less practiced within each generation. I only wish everyone was as lucky and fortunate to have a family as great and as loving and caring as mine. I think family values has more to do, than anything else, when it comes to shaping an individual

INTERESTS/HOBBIES

My favorite things to do in my spare time is to hang out with family and friends, go the gym, drive my truck, I love my job with ATF, and I am a big Star Wars fan so I love watching the movies, reading the books, and collecting. However, I do have two rules. There will be no attending of any Star Wars conventions or the wearing of Star Wars costumes (maybe with the exception of Halloween). I also love to snow ski, water ski, go to the beach (Santa Cruz),Lake Tahoe, and houseboating in Lake Shasta.

GREATEST FEARS!!!

There are two things in this world of which I am afraid of. First, losing a family member. This has already happened once and I pray it never happens again. My second fear is sharks. I have a phobia of sharks. Ya..I can admit that. I watched Jaws at way too young of an age. Even though I love going to the beach, you will not find Nick far out in the water. I start to get nervous when the water is about chest level. Now, granted, being in the ocean is a legitimate place for being concerned of shark attacks. However, as I mentioned above, I love water skiing. We water ski in the Delta, which is fresh water, minus any of the chemicals and sewage that may in there. I like to refer to the Delta as the "diet coke of fresh water." While sitting in the water with my ski on, waiting for my Dad to pull me up out of the water I will begin to get nervous and start looking around, keeping my feet where I can see them and on the look for any thing with teeth, or a fin, or both. Now, I don't know just how many of you have ever been in the Delta, but it is so dirty you can only see abbout 6inches down. Maybe now you'll understand why I get creeped out. This may sound stupid, but I don't care. I aim to be a positive statistic for natural selection, not negative.
