Mission Statement

Welcome to the homepage of the Mathematics Society at CSU Sacramento (informally known as the Math Club). Our purpose: provide topics of interest to Mathematics majors/ minors; increase general awareness of the needs and uses of mathematics in other programs for students; increase general interest in mathematics as a whole.

Can I Become a Member?

Yes you can! Any student currently enrolled can become a member of the Mathematics Society. The only requirement is that members have a strong interest towards mathematics. However, there is a membership fee of five dollars per semester. This fee is needed to help maintain the general welfare and upkeep of the organization.

Membership Benefits

If any of the following apply to you, then it is prudent that you join our club. You are interested in Mathematics and/or Statistics. You need a math tutor. You want to be a math tutor. You want to hear presentations of bleeding-edge mathematical research. You want to wear cool, high quality t-shirts with a profound mathematical proof to impress your friends. You want to engage in intelligent (and, sometimes, semi-intelligent) mathematical and non-mathematical conversations. You want a partner to hone your chess ability. You want an extracurricular activity to put on your resume. If any of the following apply, then don't hesitate to come.
