LA ESTOCADA

At the beginning of La Estocada, the bullfighter asks the Judge for permission to kill the bull. He than dedicates the bull to a person in the crowd or to the whole crowd.

He than prepares himself for the kill or the "Moment of Truth." He will first draw back. He will than profile himself towards the bull. He will aim the sword directly over the horns and towards the shoulder blades. And if the bull is properly dominated it will follow the muleta as it crosses the bullfighter's body. At the same time the bullfighter lunges over the right horn and plunges in the sword.
