TOREO DE CAPA

During the Toreo de Capa, the peones (bullfighter's assistants) make what may appear to be aimless passes at the bull with their capes. The object of these passes is to aid the bullfighter to study any favorite tricks the bull may have. After studying the bull the bullfighter will step out into the ring with his cape. He will than make a series of passes known as Veronicas (holding the cape with both hands and bringing the bull near his body). If he does a good job at the Veronicas, the crowd will begin to shout "OLE, OLE" and also applaud, which is a signal to the bullfighter that he is performing good passes.
