Bill's Zombie Survival Tips

I found these recordings of zombie encounters during my travels, but I can’t say for sure if these individuals survived or not. Take a look for yourself.

Hello to all those out there. I’m sure you have heard about me, but if you haven’t then my name is Bill (Ryan) Her, and I’m a specialist at exterminating zombies. I know zombies have overrun many of the cities already, but I know there are still people out there fighting for their survival. I know all hope seems lost, but don’t give up and give in. I might not be there physically to aid in your endeavor, but I can assist you through the World Wide Web. I hope my tips here are helpful to you in your fight against the horde of zombies.
I will give you tips on killing and surviving zombie attacks. Before I begin, I will explain what a zombie is. By definition, a zombie is a dead body brought back to life by some means, or a reanimated corpse. They are slow moving and mindless flesh eating monsters. Remember, I highly recommend avoiding all close quarter combat no matter how many zombies you’re engaging. I can’t stress this enough because coming into contact with one of those things can be hazardous. One scratch or one bite no matter how insignificant it is will cause your death. There is no cure for a zombie infection, and if you’re infected through injuries from zombies then it’s over. You will eventually fell ill and turn to a zombie yourself. I hate to be blunt, but that’s how it works. I personally came close on many occasions, but somehow I managed to live this long because I understand how to deal with these abominations. Now let us get down to why you’re here.

This is an M-9 Beretta 9mm pistol. It’s light and easy to handle. It has great accuracy and conserves ammo in the long run. However, any pistol is a must no matter what kind it is. It’s handy in any situation. This pistol is great for medium range head shots, and it can slow down zombies if you pump a few bullets into the legs or body. That’s if you don’t already kill them. I mainly use this weapon against 1 to 4 zombies at a time since one fire pistols is not recommended for hordes of zombies.

First off, multiple gun shots can eventually put a zombie down for good, but why waste time and ammo when you can simply aim for the head. Yes, one shot can kill a zombie if you struck the head and destroy it in the process. Another way of killing a zombie is completely decapitating it. I have documented everything as I slay zombies one after another. Lost limbs will not hinder a zombie from attacking. Any weapons able of bashing and slashing will do the job, but I recommend a firearm for purposes I’ve stated above. If you’re low on ammo then aim for the limbs and cripple the target before going in for the kill. Always keep out of arms range and move around. Be aware of your surrounding, and never stop watching your back even if you’re alone.
Transportation is very important, especially when zombies are the new the inhabitants. I’ve listed some transportation vehicles at the bottom, but there are other options. I do not recommend any sports vehicles or any vehicle that can not handle driving in the rough terrain. If you’re traveling a long distance then I prefer a fast and durable vehicle or motorbike. Don’t spend too much time refueling and try to carry some fuel for back up if you’re driving. I would seriously avoid populated locations just as big cities. Refer to my picks of vehicles for why I chose them.
Even throughout this chaos, rest and food are needed. I’ve found some nice places for recuperating and resupplying. First off, never stay in one place for too long. The zombies may be mindless, but they’re keen to hear noises pretty well, and they have a good sense of direction when it comes to fresh meat. A supermarket is perfect for resupplying and a short rest. Always check the entire store thoroughly before continuing on your business. I suggest resting in an area where there’s multiple exits incase zombies discover you. The last place to ever rest is an office. Why? Because there’s only one entrance and exit. I recommend taking a break for 2 to 3 hrs (unless in highly populated locations) before traveling again. Always keep your weapons handy incase of emergencies. Another good place to stop by is gas stations since they provide sufficient food and beverages. Never drink and eat from anything that’s already open. I recommend stocking up on can foods and water bottles. Carry the essentials and don’t carry more than is needed. Remember, you can always find places to stock up when you’re running low. I know that I didn’t give in-depth tips, but learn from these basic survival tips and you’re better off. Take care and I wish you the best.

This is a M16 Assault Rifle and by far my favorite weapon. It’s an automatic rifle, and it can tear through the rotten flesh of the undead. This gun is good against 10 or more zombies, but I don’t recommend engaging more than 10 at a time unless you have a death wish. Use the M16 to slow down zombies by targeting their limbs especially the legs and arms. It’s good medium to long range, but I wouldn’t recommend using this gun in a one on one engagement unless you have to. That’s what the pistol and melee weapons are for.

Ok, this is a big rig truck. Its defenses is nearly impenetrable and it can bulldoze through almost anything, even hordes of zombies if you reach 50 mph or higher. It’s a great way to travel if zombies populate most of the area since you can just run them down without wasting ammo. The drawback using a truck as transport is the debris of cars pile up in the area as blockade, and a vehicle the size of a truck is hard to maneuver in narrow areas. However, if you don’t want big rigs then use Tacoma’s, Tundra’s, or equivalent. Any vehicle that can travel on tougher terrain will help you access more areas safely and keep you away from hordes of zombies.

Well a knife is a plus if you have to cut through or open up something. Any knives are ok, but I preferred something sharp and lethal like a Japanese katana or a machete. If you are low in ammo and need to resupply then use one of these weapons to cut your way through. Only use the knives/swords as a last resort because zombies don’t feel pain, and even if you dismember them, they will keep coming after you unless you decapitate them or destroy their head. I recommend decapitating the zombies as swift as possible and keep your distance just in case you’re not able to. From my experience, I’ve decapitated many zombies, but that’s only when I had to, and it was only against 1 or 2 zombies at a single time.

A motorcycle is a great transportation when traveling through narrow areas since it’s small and easy to maneuver. I don’t recommend riding a motorcycle through a populated area since zombies might have overrun the town already. It’s good to travel through rural areas and terrain. I recommend smaller bikes unlike the bigger motorcycle, Harley Davidson. Zombies are slow and brainless, but somehow their keen to hearing the slightest noise so keep that in mind.

A crowbar is very useful when breaking locks and opening sewer tunnels or whatever. It’s not required, but it would be useful to have one since it can be use as a substitute weapon. I mainly used a crowbar for breaking locks and clubbing zombies in the head, but you can find some other use for it.

This is one of my favorite weapons, the backpacker shotgun. It has a short barrel, and it is light. This gun is best used against dozens of zombies who are closing in. Its impact spreads and hits other targets in the vicinity as well. The shotgun is best in close range and delivers quite a punch during head shots, and it can blow apart limbs with ease. I recommend this weapon for individuals who are smaller in stature. Any shotgun is fine and will do the job in killing zombies as well.
