MCj04315850000[1]Pre-Primer sight word practice (If applicable to your child, these will be send home the Friday before break)

http://hegion2j.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/sightwords.jpg

MCj04315850000[1]Task completion activities.  Engage in various activities that include your child following the visual schedule set up at home.  Target your student staring and completing a single activity or a few activities consecutively.  This will help your child keep his/her routine of doing “work.”

MCj04315850000[1]Turn a family outing into a Language rich experience by labeling objects in the environment.  You can do this by talking about what you are doing, using specific verbs, adjectives, and nouns.  Talking to your child will expose him/her to new vocabulary and opportunities to practice language.  This can also make for a memorable experience!!!

MCj04315850000[1]Create a journal with visuals or with words of what you and your student did over break to share with the class.
