In
2019, 733,000 pets were euthanized. As many pets are rescued or
abandoned at animal shelters, we see an increase in overcrowding animal shelters.
Due to this overcrowding many pets are being put down to help reduce the
issue. Pets that are not favorable in any way lead people to assume that no
one will want to adopt them and therefore their best option is to be
euthanized. Pets like cats and dogs are meant to be pets that are taken care
of by humans. They need appropriate food, shelter, health, and most important
of all love and care from an individual. Many Americans are unaware of how
serious the issue of animal shelter’s overcrowding is resulting in
euthanizing innocent and helpless pets. Getting this issue out in anyway can
inform Americans on how to help.
