A variation that many artists around the world seem to be using nowadays, this is a fast paced and impulsive form of writing your songs. Instead of sitting down and pulling out a piece of paper this method requires you to head straight to the studio or immediately hit the record button on your laptop and start singing or rapping. Take it one phrase at a time and keep going over the same phrase repeatedly while slightly tweaking the melody and the words until you hit that sweet spot that sounds good to you. Once you’re done move onto the next phrase, word, or couple of sentences. The great thing about this is that you can do as much or as little as you want with each take repetition.

This is a detailed and comprehensive way to approach writing. Choose a topic or theme and write that down in the middle of a piece of paper. Once you’ve done this try to think of every and any words or phrases that you feel relate to your topic/theme. You now have a bank of inspiration to help you overcome any stagnation in your writing process. Try to link various phrases and words until you find the perfect combinations.
Signature outlineText Box: Method 1: Words
For this method one can think of it as almost writing poetry. Completely shut out the aspect of music, melodies, instruments, and sounds. Write with the intention of solely focusing on the words, syllables, pronunciations, and phonetics. Link words together through rhyming in different parts of your sentences or link words together that are close to each other through homonyms and homophones.
