Why is Social Media use with Adolescents and Children a problem?
The effects that arise with social media are deficiencies in language, cognitive, and sleep development. Instead of spending quality time with their kids, parents nowadays use technology as a medium of distraction, entertainment, and even “learning,” which is instead, is hindering their kids’ development. Since it is almost impossible to remove the internet from society, why not use it to reach adults and society to teach them about these effects?
