Overpopulation is the result of the failure to spay/neuter animals, which then allows the animals to constantly keep having litters. Therefore, there are more homeless animals than there are people that are able to adopt. Overpopulation leads to dogs/cats being abandoned and euthanized by animal shelters.

 Solutions

Ø  Spay/neuter cats and dogs

Ø  Adopt, don’t shop

Ø  Educate children and adults on the problem of overpopulation

Ø  Report stray animals

Ø  Fostering is always an option

Ø  Support/donate to animal shelters
