[ What is a Wiki? ]
A Wiki is a collect of web pages designed in a way to allow anyone access to share or alter content by using a simplified markup language. In the spirit of collaboration, Wiki are often created to power community sites. Such as the city of Davis - http://daviswiki.org/ or a well known Wiki, http://www.wikipedia.org/ to give a few examples. A wiki can encourage collaboration by enabling educators to share and edit their Wiki pages and work together to produce content. Wikis can be misunderstood as Blogs but, Blogs displays only the most current information first whereas Wikis display content that remains static.
