There are hands-on class activities to give students practice in broad and narrow phonetic transcription of speech sound errors. Evidence-based practice is emphasized, with a direct focus on scientific research studies to support information taught in the course. The concepts of linguistic human rights, intersectionality, and diversity, equity, and inclusion are incorporated into the course. Spring only; 3 units.
It is important to bring each PowerPoint outline to class, as some notetaking is required.
