The
rent is too DAMN high! |
Problem: Rent has been
increasing throughout the years. Many are either living with roommates, renting
a room, or families are grouping together to be able to live in a house. The
cost of living is too high for people who are making a little above over
minimum wage. People who are making at least 20 dollars an hour are
struggling and can’t afford to live on their own. To stop this madness,
something needs to be done. |
Solutions: The first solution that comes to mind is (1) rent
control. There should be a cap on how expensive a landowner can charge a
tenant a month. (2) Decrease the cost of living. With the decrease of cost of
living people will have more money in their pockets. (3) Rent is base on how much a person makes. So, a tenant is only
able to be charge at most 60% of their income. |
With rent increases, it may lead to increase of homelessness in
California. To decrease the homeless rate, the government needs to step in
when necessary when it comes to rent. If you need assistance in the Sacramento area. There is some
