WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR CHILD IS ADDICTED TO ELECTRONICS

 

 

 

 

For the last couple of years since electronic devices became so popular and affordable for many parents, a lot of parents realized how harmful those devices can be to their children. The addiction to a cell phone, I-pod, or TV that causes disturbing behavior, has been reported to be an issue. Children of age from two to teenage, that are exposed to electronics at a young age became more rebellious, angry, and tend to be psychologically unstable. We have found a couple of solutions that can help the parents to deal with this problem!

S.M.A.R.T. Objectives

 

       1. Hide your phone/iPad/TV remote & make sure no one else around you, exposing your child to a phone.

      2. Plan your and your child’s day.

     3. Help your child to socialize with other kids & take your child to different activities.

Possible Solutions/Helpful Tips

 

1. Keep all of the devices away from your child’s sight (when your child is still at a young age).

2. Do not use your phone to play games or watch a movie.

3. Do not give your phone to a child if he/she is crying (instead try to talk to them).

4. Create a plan for your and your child’s day (to be productive).

5. Ask your babysitter, grandparent, the sibling that is around your child not to use or give your child their phone.
