Protecting Women and Promoting Safety through Self-Defense
The issue: Women everyday are in fear of being sexually assaulted or harassed. Learning how to defend yourself could not only help prevent assault or harassment, but also help women feel more empowered and courageous.
Some examples of self-defense include: Taser
Pepper spray
Physical defense
Tasers and pepper spray both are very common and efficient forms of self-defense. They are quick ways that can be an almost immediate defense on an attacker. Both are relatively small enough to carry on the day-to-day basis and are easy to use.
Physical self-defense is a skill that may take some time to learn, but a few weeks at a fitness center that offers classes can teach you so many ways that you can fight off attackers. |
