“It’s More Fun in the
Philippines”
This my friends is one of the many places travelers https://guidetothephilippines.ph/articles/ultimate-guides/why-travel-the-philippines Bayanihan! Bayanihan is a term used to
describe the camaraderie between the Philippine people, a symbolism of our
strength as one nation. Throughout the years, there have been more and more
Filipino citizens choosing to leave the motherland in search for better opportunities
and to give their families better lives. As a result, the country is left
scrambling as the skilled workforce increasingly dwindles (excluding the
recent covid-19 pandemic). Know Your Facts! Our little country is full
of talented and hardworking people, but where are they? As the influx of OFWs
a.k.a Overseas Filipino
Workers increase, the country sees shortages of necessary positions that need
to be filled. These issues are coupled with the fact that requirements for
the young and hungry graduates increase, resulting in fierce competition
between applicants despite the country’s inadequate resources
Make
Our Home A Better Place! The people of our country
deserve to be home! So, let’s make them feel home, but how? More and more tourists
have called this place home, so why can’t you? A home is not a home without
its people. Pre-covid data indicates that Tourism and Travel accounted for
22.50% of the nation’s GDP, raking in around $92.60 billion annually on
average If visitors can live in
our country, then why can’t we? The nation’s hard-working people should get
the benefits they deserve so let’s make the playing field even. Our hardworking OFWs
deserve the fair compensation they need and the government needs to take
action one way or another. Maligayang Pagbalik Kababayan! Mary G. Bautista
