The parking problem at kirkwood ski resort

As many have experienced, parking at ski resorts can be an absolute nightmare, but especially at Kirkwood Ski Resort in Kirkwood, California. There is simply a lack of parking at Kirkwood for the amount of traffic it attracts. Many guests are turned away each day because there is not enough parking for them. Even employees are turned away due to this insufficiency. This year due to COVID-19, the resort is requiring all guests to reserve their spot on the mountain prior to arrival. However, even with this lift ticket reservation system in place, parking is still extremely scarce. If the resort requires lift ticket reservations, they should require parking reservations too. A simple parking reservation app or website could solve this problem. With implementation of a parking reservation app, by November 2021, customers and employees being turned away due to lack of parking will decrease by 50%, by January 2022, 99% of Kirkwood customers will be using the website reservation system with the requirement of doing so when reserving a lift spot, and by November of 2022, 99% of Kirkwood’s parking congestion will be eliminated.
