DON NAHHAS

a personal webpage

I was born and raised in Sacramento; as a matter of fact, I live in the house my parents built in 1957. I am married to my best friend, Dawn and we have four children, one boy and three girls (or should I say one man, Josh, and three women: Brittany, 31, Melissa, 29, and Savannah, 27.) and three grandchildren. Brittany is a proud mom of her son Lincoln Orrie, and Savannah, is the proud mom of Brayden and Paxton.

Sadly, our son, Joshua, passed away on August 12, 2016 at the age of 32 from liver failure and complete organ shutdown due to alcoholism. We started a nonprofit, Josh’s Heart, Inc. in memory of him. Our mission is: “Bringing awareness to the public of the stories behind the addicted and homeless, while bringing a message to those suffering that they matter.”

I have been doing photography professionally for over 30 years, became an ordained minister so that I could perform the marriages of Brittany and Savannah in 2013. Since then, I have performed 4 other weddings. I love wood working and tinkering around the garage and yard. I am an avid DIY’r. I love craft beer and home brewing; my wife calls me a beer snob.
