SHOULD YOU BUY A MOTORCYCLE? Whether you are a motorcycle-rider, a
car-driver, or a passenger you have witnessed them on public roads. Why, you
might ask, do people ride these “road-hogs”?
This webpage, is designed to educate anyone who has looked longingly,
angrily, fearfully, or indifferently at motorcycle riders and help you
understand the benefits of owning one of these machines. Before or after reading through this

question of what you have to gain (financial, fun, efficient transportation) -
Learn about the safety
equipment you will need -
Calculate the cost of
buying a motorcycle and motorcycle insurance -
Ask yourself if it is
affordable and where you can store the motorcycle -
Ask people that you
know who own a motorcycle what their opinion is and why they chose to buy a
bike -
Decide what type of
motorcycle suits you (standard, sport, cruiser, touring, scooter…) -
Take a safety riding
course -
Ride on the back of
the motorcycle of someone that you trust with all the safety equipment
equippped - Look online on sites like “LetGo”, “Facebook
Marketplace” and “Craigslist” to buy a used motorcycle |
