Read: Read up through start of 5.3.
Turn in: 5.30, 5.32, 5.35, 5.36
- For 5.35, you need to determine the highest power of $x$ in $p(x)q(x)$. Write out arbitrary polynomials \(p(x) = a_0 + a_1x + \cdots + a_n x^n\), \(q(x)= b_0 + b_1x + \cdots + b_n x^n\), and work out the highest power of $x$ in $p(x)q(x)$. Make sure you see where you are using that the coefficients of the polynomials come from an integral domain.
