Read: Read 3.3.2–3.4.
- Make sure to get the updated version of our book; Fact 3.47 is new and changed all of the numbering that follows. (Sorry!)
Turn in: 3.45, 3.48, 3.51(1,2,4), 3.52, 3.54, 3.57
- To clarify, you do not need to prove parts (3) or (5) of 3.51.
- You’ll probably want to make use of 3.56 when proving 3.57. An important starting point is that 3.56 tells us that $F$ contains at least two elements (but you don’t know what they are). Now use 3.56 some more to first show $0\in F$ and then continue to argue that $1\in F$.
Please try (but do not turn in): 3.45, 3.49, 3.51(3,5)
