"But without some common baseline of facts; without a willingness to admit new information, and concede that your opponent is making a fair point, and that science and reason matter, we'll keep talking past each other, making common ground and compromise impossible."
- President Barack Obama

Week 15 |
---|
[05.11.17] - Thursday
Last day of class, and I miss you already!! Good luck studying for the final. My office hours for tomorrow and next week will be posted in SacCT. Also, I seriously failed on logging our class this semester—sorry! Here is a small photo dump to make up for it a bit...
- Ah, the good old days... Make sure to come by and visit! - |
Sections covered: Section 2.6 (started) |
Week 3 |
[02.08.17] - Wednesday
- We do math here. - |
Sections covered: Section 2.6 (started) |
[02.06.17] - Monday
Finished up our discussion of continuity, ending with a discussion of the rather obvious, and surprisingly powerful, Intermediate Value Theorem. |
Sections covered: Section 2.5 (finished) |
Week 2 |
[02.02.17] - Thursday
Wrapped up 2.3, and got started on continuity. Continuity is our first example of making use of limits to give a rigorous definition of a very natural concept. (There's more to come of course!) |
Sections covered: Section 2.3 (finished), Section 2.5 (started) |
[02.01.17] - Wednesday
Continued with 2.3; we're almost done. We got to do a fair amount of group work on computing limits and were treated to several excellent presentations!
- Great presentations! Bad Picture. Sorry! - |
Sections covered: Section 2.3 (continued) |
[01.30.17] - Monday
Wrapped up Section 2.2 with infinite limits and vertical asymptotes and started in on limits laws. It was definitely a bit painful at first, but in the end, the laws allow us to greatly speed up our computation of limits. |
Sections covered: Section 2.2 (finished), Section 2.3 (started) |
Week 1 |
[01.26.17] - Thursday
Wrapped up Group Work 02 and had some good discussions about limits. That $\sin\left(\frac{\pi}{2x}\right)$ was a weird one, but definitely one to remember! |
Sections covered: Section 2.2 (continued) |
[01.25.17] - Wednesday
Wrapped up Group Work 01, and...yay presentations! Many thanks to those that went to the board as well as those that contributed from the audience. |
Sections covered: Section 2.1 (finished), Section 2.2 (started) |
[01.23.17] - Monday - First day!
Great to meet you all!
- This is what we're going for! - |
Sections covered: Section 2.1 (started) |
