Has
Your Child Currently Missed Out On School or Recreational Sports Due to the
Costs?
Costs for youth sports are becoming too high for low
income families. Families are choosing which child will be able to participate
or choosing to remove all of their children from youth sports because it has
become far too expensive.
The percentage of participants who come from families
that make less than $60,000 a year is a mere 34%, where the percentage of
participants who come from families that make more than $60,000 is over 50%.
Due to costs, there has been a 19% decrease in participants
from low-income families and a 5% decrease in participants from high-income
families.
