Global warming“global warming isn’t a prediction. It is happening” – James Hansen What is Global Warming?
Solutions for Global Warming1. Plant more trees – trees will absorb the carbon dioxide and produce more oxygen that benefits the environment. 2. Reduce car pollution – Automobiles is one of the biggest pollutions on Earth. Reducing the number of cars on the road will create a much healthier air quality. Such as, carpooling, biking, public transportation, electric cars, etc. 3. Limited factory pollutions – give all the factories the limited amount of carbon dioxides they can release to the atmosphere. 4. Reduce fossil fuels burning – use other methods to generated electricity, such as windmills. 5. Paint the roof white – white color can help reflecting the sun ray back out to the universe. 6. Adding solar panels on top of your roof – generate your own electricity power from the sun. 7. Eat less meat – As more people started to eat meat, the more land it required to farm these animals. More trees were cutting down to create farm lands in order to generate meat, which harms the environment. 8. Speak up! – not many people are aware of the global warming issues. People need to raise concern to other and limit carbon emissions. 9. Reduce the use of heater – The heaters people use during winter generates a lot of carbon dioxide. Turn down the heater by 10 degrees will save a significant amount of energy. 10. Educate others – teach public lessons about global warming, and what we can do to reduce the amount of harms human has done to Earth.
Main Objective – Reduce Car Pollution1. Starting from January 1st, 2021, to December 31st, people should try to reduce the average driving distance of 13,500 miles annually by at least 20%, in average of not exceeding 207.2 miles travel distance per week. 2. In the month of December of 2020, people should try to at least carpool 6 times in this month to any places such as, work, university, church, etc. 3. In the Spring 2021 academic semester, students who commute to university should try to use public transportation at least twice a week throughout the semester.
