Project Description:
This project is based on Rental Apartments data collected by Group 4. Data is included on Employees: who work at the apartments. Tenants: who rent the apartments. Rental Units: the apartment units itself. Vendors: provide services like trash, recycling, flooring and electrical. Suppliers: supply equipment. Management Staff: those responsible for managing the business. Maintenance Order: where and what type of maintenance is required. The data in each table is linked to the others through common fields. This is how we were able to create reports that can help answer important questions for the management of the rental units.
Questions like how many renters have accounts that are past due and may need to have notices sent. Or how many new renters we have this year, to figure out the revenue. Or the maintenance orders and type of maintenance that need to be done. Or how many Units or apartments are vacant and ready to be rented out. Or how long employees have been with the company and which employees are due for a raise. This database will help in the day to day running of the Rental Apartments business and aid in easier and quicker decision making.
