A friendly lightning-talk competition where students will have just 3 minutes each to wow the audience with their favorite mathematical insight, real-world application, or intriguing mystery. Test your problem-solving skills and teamwork in the 4th annual Estimathon. Teams work together to estimate answers to a variety of problems, ranging from everyday scenarios to more challenging questions that require creative and critical thinking. The team with the most accurate estimates will win the competition! Students from all levels of mathematics courses are welcome to participate—no advanced mathematics experience is required. There will be pizza for attendees (while supplies last) and prizes for the winning team, along with plenty of opportunities to have fun with math and collaborate with fellow students.
